April 2009
4 April	Music on the Murray	Riverland	A biennial festival on Waikerie’s Murray River foreshore. The music program includes Adelaide Philharmonia Choir, South Australia Police Band, Adelaide Arts Orchestra and many others. Leading up to the event is the River Murray Art Prize and Art Show held 27 March - 5 April.
3 - 5 April	International Rugby Sevens	Adelaide	There’s just about no faster sport on the planet than Rugby Sevens. An incredible 44 games will be played over just two days at the prestigious Adelaide Oval – catch it if you can.
11 april	OneSteel Fishy Frigne Festival	Eyre Peninsula	Whyalla’s free art, culture and music festival.
13 - 17 April	World Schools Golf Challemge	Adelaide	Any school can enter and there is no limit to the number of teams that a single school can enter.
17 - 19 April	Rock the Mount	Flinders Ranges and Outback	Melrose becomes centre stage for the hottest names in Australian Country Music. Buskers, ute muster, market stalls and a line up of Australia’s best country music stars.
11 - 19 April	Barossa Vitage Festival	Barossa	Over 100 music, food, wine and cultural events celebrating vintage.

11 - 17 May	Kernewek Lowender, Copper Coast Cornish Festival	Yorke Peninsula	The world’s largest Cornish festival that celebrates the heritage of the region. Held in Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo.
15 - 17 May	Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival	Limestone Coast	The festival celebrates the literary and arts heritage of Penola, fine wines of Coonawarra and premium regional produce.
22 - 25 May	FINA Men’s and Women’s Water Polo World League	Adelaide	The Asia/Oceania round of the 2009 FINA Water Polo World League at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre.
June 2009
5 - 20 June	Adelaide Cabaret Festival	Adelaide	Offers the best international and local artists in the cabaret genre, with classic and contemporary cabaret performances.

9 - 12 July	Adelaide Festival of Ideas	Adelaide	A series of lectures, inspiring you to ponder various ideas, themes and questions.
24 - 26 July	UCI BMX World Championship	Adelaide	Elite and Junior classes compete on tracks that demand considerable technical skills and include various spectacular jumps.

25 - 31 October	Global Green Challenge	Darwin - Adelaide	The ultimate challenge in sustainable energy. The challenge is to design and build a car capable of crossing the vast and imposing continent of Australia using only sunlight as fuel.

14 November	Credit Union Christmas Pageant	Adelaide	A magical parade
18 - 22 November	Classic Adelaide	Regional South Australia	Australia’s foremost international tarmac rally for classic sporting vehicles. Each day’s course starts in the heart of the city and travels through wine country and spectacular scenery.
